Rumour: Ben Affleck To Star In 'The Batman'
The Latino Review has reported that Ben Affleck (42) will be staring in a standalone Batman movie simply titled ‘The Batman’ slated for release in 2018.
Affleck is of course already known to be playing Batman in the upcoming ‘Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’ which will mark his debut as the gravely voiced caped crusader. Aside from that he is to co-star in at least two Justice League films and is also to make an appearance in the new DC movie ‘Suicide Squad’ released next year. It is safe to say we will be seeing a lot of Ben’s ‘Bats’ in the coming years even if the rumour turns out to be untrue.
The possible film that sees Affleck not only star in but also direct, is said to be written by Chris Terrio (38) both of them having previously worked together on the Academy Award winning ‘Argo’. Terrio is also lined up to write on the other DC movies involving Batman adding some possible weight to the rumour.
