Lindsay Lohan needs Xanax for her achondroplasiaphobia (fear of little people)
It’s been weeks since I’ve covered Lindsay Lohan. This is surprising. In late October/early November, there were a bunch of stories about Lindsay being back on the booze and/or drugs and I kind of thought that we were in for another Cracken shenanigan at any moment, likely involving an eight ball, a dozen bottles of Jose Cuervo and a stolen cop car. But I guess Lindsay tightened up a little bit, at least trying to make sure that her shenanigans weren’t as widely reported as they once were. So, why am I writing about her today? Because there’s not a lot going on. And this is just a weird story:

“She has achondroplasiaphobia,” a source tells the new issue of Life & Style of the 5-foot-5 actress, meaning she has a “fear of little people.”
So what exactly happens when LiLo, 27, has a run-in with a really petite person?
“In 2006 at the Chateau Marmont, she was with pals when two little people walked by and she started having a major anxiety attack!” the insider tells the mag of her bizarre fear. “She hyperventilated. Someone had to give her an antianxiety pill to calm her down. She kept saying, ‘I’m so scared of them!’”
Little People of America, a nonprofit organization that provides support and information to people of short stature, responded to Lindsay’s fear by suggesting, “Lohan should treat her fear the same as she would a fear of any other protected minority population. If that fails, she might find diversity training to be useful.”
I can’t even imagine having some kind of weird phobia about… little people…? It doesn’t make any logical sense to me, but I guess it’s a real thing. Imagine going through your life and hyperventilating whenever you see Peter Dinklage on Game of Thrones. I can’t even imagine. CB said that it probably wasn’t even a real thing, Lindsay was just trying to get a Xanax. And it’s weird that this happened in 2006, right? Maybe Lindsay was just super-high and paranoid and she thought the little people were out to get her.
